Teaching
Hands-on classes explore the uses and applications of local, seasonal ingredients and traditional/medicinal herbs. The techniques for creating your own herbal brews and ferments are presented in a simple, enjoyable and straightforward way; no complicated math or expensive equipment is needed. Attendees will leave the class with the knowledge and confidence to start crafting their own local brews.
How Much Does a Class Cost?
Depending on the size of class and number of giveaways, attendees pay between $35 and $50 each. You can also be the most popular guy or gal on the block by inviting your friends and neighbors over for a personal brewing party at no cost to them.
What Will We Learn to Brew?
We can brew whatever you want: Beer, wine, mead, hard cider…you name it. I’m here to make sure you learn the brewing skills you’re most interested in, and classes are customizable to meet your needs. Don’t have a preference or just want to dive right in? A great herbal beer and local mead are great starting points.
Where are Classes Available?
Right now classes are available in the metro Atlanta area. The prices that I provided above include travel to a local venue. If you live outside of this area but would still like me to come teach a class at your place, please contact me. We can talk about the travel details. Also, check the Events Page for upcoming public classes.
What about Fermented Foods?
Are you curious about preserving your food with fermentation? Wanted to recreate that amazing sauerkraut you had in Germany? Or looking to save money by making Kombucha yourself?
Classes that feature food ferments (think sauerkraut) and non-alcoholic beverage ferments (think kombucha) are currently in the works. Let me know if this is something you are interested in, and I’ll gather some great material.
When is the Next Class?
Check out the Events Page for all upcoming classes, events, speaking engagements, etc.
